As part of 38th Gala presented next Sunday, October 30, the Association québécoise de l’industrie du disque, du spectacle et de la vidéo (ADISQ) will present a posthumous honorary Félix to one of the greatest producers and impresarios in Québec history, René Angélil. Céline has confirmed that she will attend the gala to accept the honorary Félix on his behalf.
Mr. Angelil was awarded a Félix Hommage in 1996, exactly 20 years ago. L’ADISQ would like to once again recognize his extraordinary contribution to Québec’s showbusiness industry by presenting him posthumously with its highest honour. A man of tremendous talent, determination and vision, Mr. Angelil brought honour and glory to the role of an impresario, inspiring everyone in our industry to Dream Big.
Hosted by Louis-José Houde, the Gala de l’ADISQ is the major annual event recognizing those artists who have left their mark on the year’s music; it will be presented in Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier, Place des Arts of Montréal, and broadcast by ICI Radio-Canada Télé and on the web, starting at 7:30 p.m.
