Bien qu’il fût destiné spécifiquement pour le marché américain, The Collector's Series, Volume One s’est tout de même écoulé à plus de 3 millions d’exemplaires à travers le monde. On y retrouve plusieurs titres inédits ou rares tels The Power of The Dream, que Céline interpréta aux Jeux olympiques d’Atlanta en 1996, et qui ne figure sur aucun album précédent.
Sur cet album, on entend Céline chanter dans cinq langues différentes. On retrouve deux chansons en espagnol : Amar Haciendo El Amor et Sola Otra Vez, une époustouflante interprétation d’All By Myself. Deux titres en français (Pour que tu m’aimes encore et Un garçon pas comme les autres (Ziggy)), un duo anglo-italien (The Prayer avec Andrea Bocelli), une version japonaise de Be The Man et plusieurs incontournables en anglais telles Where Does My Heart Beat Now, Tell Him, Only One Road et Falling Into You.
