Having sold over 100 million albums since the release of Unison in 1990, All The Way ... A Decade of Song highlights Céline’s extraordinary rise to stardom. Conceived in two parts, this hybrid “best of” album combines nine previously released hits with seven new songs recorded specifically for this collection.
The title song All The Way is a loving tribute to one of Céline’s favourite; the legendary Frank Sinatra. The album’s first single, That's The Way It Is, produced by Max Martin and Kristian Lundin (Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears) is a mid-tempo song perfectly in tune with the music of the time. Céline revisits the classic ballad The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, a song written by Ewen MacColl that propelled Roberta Flack to number 1 on the charts in 1972. Masterfully produced by her long-time friend David Foster, the emotional and sensitive orchestration help give Céline one of her best vocal performances. Céline also collaborates with producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange on the song If Walls Could Talk. Finally, Céline sings Live, a poignant interpretation of Vivre, the theme song of Esmeralda in the musical Notre Dame de Paris, written by her friend Luc Plamondon and Richard Cocciante.
All The Way ... A Decade of Song remains a fixture in Céline’s discography. A special note to fans and collectors: there are seven different versions of the album varying by territory. For example, the British version includes Think Twice, a huge success in the UK at the time of its release.
